SriXR: Immersive VR Showcase to Boost Sri Lankan Tourism

As a group, we built SriXR, an immersive VR experience designed to promote Sri Lanka’s tourism by transporting users into evocative, place-based scenes with intuitive interactions and spatial audio. Implemented in Unity with the Meta XR All-in-One SDK, Oculus XR Plugin, Meta XR Interaction and Audio toolkits, plus the Meta XR Simulator for rapid iteration, SriXR focuses on smooth locomotion, natural object interaction while highlighting culture and landmarks. The project earned 2nd Runner Up in VRCade 2.0, an intra-university mixed-reality competition organized by IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter, University of Moratuwa.
